Field Days Event
What is the Field Days Event?
The primary focus of the RTAA today is our highly successful Rail Industry Field Days Event. Our last event was held on 27/28 February 2013 in conjunction with RailCorp which was the 5th such event beginning in 2006.
The Field Day Event is a huge display of the industry's rail infrastructure, construction and maintenance equipment, assembled at an outdoor exhibition to showcase products and services. Visitors gain free entry to this display held over two days. It also provides opportunities for corporate sponsorship as well as a unique occasion when contributors of all levels in the rail industry can intermingle.
The Field Days event demonstrates the latest technology to whet the enthusiasm of younger technicians, trades’ people and graduate engineers entering the industry for the first time as well as the pride of the Australian rail industry.
