What is the Field Days Event?

The primary focus of the RTAA today is our highly successful Rail Industry Field Days Event. To date we have held four Field Days Events in conjunction with RailCorp in NSW beginning in 2006. The Field Day Event is a huge display of the industry's rail infrastructure, construction and maintenance equipment, assembled at an outdoor exhibition to showcase products and services. Visitors gain free entry to this display held over two days. It also provides opportunities for corporate sponsorship as well as a unique occasion when contributors of all levels in the rail industry can intermingle.

The Field Days demonstrate the latest technology to whet the enthusiasm of younger technicians, trades’ people and graduate engineers entering the railway industry for the first time.

Our last Field Days Event was held on 26 to 27 October 2011.

FOURTH ANNUAL RTAA/RAILCORP FIELD DAY EVENT

 

The fourth annual RTAA / RailCorp Field Day was even bigger and better than ever before with more exhibitors, interactive forums, improved amenities and even more plant and equipment on display.

We aimed to attract an even broader cross section of national and international rail industry representatives.

Added to this – new features included:
- Live on-site music
- Presentation - Fettlers Shed
- More seated and under-cover eating areas
- Special VIP area And much more……

Dubbed the best rail event in the country!
