Women in Rail
Women in Rail Forum - Melbourne 15 June 2016
We were very honoured to have Michael Harmer, Chairman & Senior Team Leader, Harmers Workplace Lawyers again as the key note speaker at our Women in Rail forum in Melbourne on 15 June following the success of the Sydney event in 2015. Michael’s gentle yet passionate message that diversity in the workplace is a whole of industry issue that leads to enormous financial as well as social advantages, inspired another audience of almost 50% men to women! Harmers Workplace Lawyers have just won the prestigious 2016 Australasian Law Awards "Employment Law Specialist Firm of the Year" for the ninth time.
The forum was skilfully facilitated by Anita Payne (CEO - Grow Com). Anita has worked with developing leadership and culture in large organisations for over 30 years. As a Team Performance specialist, she works with diverse teams to optimise their performance and align them to a common purpose, for major or strategically important projects.
Our panellists at the forum, consisting of Kylie Huth (COO -voestalpine VAE), Esther Warren (MTM), Darlene Winston (GM People and Partner Strategy, SNP Security) and Kristen Georgakopoulos (Manager People, Culture and Systems – VicTrack), contributed their own considerable experiences, and journey in response to questions from the floor. Kylie Huth also provided the RTAA welcome to our guests as a member of our management committee. The audience was totally absorbed with great interaction on the night. We thank SNP Security for providing their sponsorship.
