Vice President

David has over 36 years of professional experience, with a proven track record in management, contracting & consultancy on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects from inception to completion; mostly within the rail and road transport industries.

His experience on infrastructure projects has been primarily focussed on the rail and road transport, quarrying and resource industries. His management expertise includes Project Development and Management, Risk Management, Rail Safety Accreditation, Asset Management, Systems Assurance & Maintenance Planning.

In February 2002, after 27 years of engineering and management experience, David established Bull Head Services Pty Limited to provide consulting services to the Rail Infrastructure, Land Transport, Quarrying, Building, Civil Engineering and Resource Industries.

Through David’s boutique consulting service, he serves a full spectrum of rail industry clients and their projects after devoting most of his career to this industry.

David was elected as Vice President of the RTAA in 2000; a position on the Executive that he has held each year since. He has been the RTAA AusRAIL Organising Committee Representative since 2003 and has chaired many RTAA Technical Stream sessions at AusRAIL, as well as serving on the Technical Paper Review Committee.

David was involved in initiating the first Field Days Event in coordination with RailCorp in 2006 and has served on the Organising Committee for the subsequent Field Days Events. He is currently the RTAA Champion for the Frank Franklyn Young Rail Track Specialist Award.
